National Mango Board new logo

The National Mango Board (NMB) launches its Mango Hometown Tour in St Louis, MO, this week.

The Mango Hometown Tour visits six US cities – St Louis, Charlotte, Portland, Tampa, Cleveland and Hartford – between May and August, challenging two local chefs in each of them to create regional mango dishes.

Retailers in the cities are also encouraged to participate, providing consumers with recipes, preparation tips and fresh ingredients that complement the fruit.

Wendy McManus, the NMB's director of marketing, said: 'The Mango Hometown Tour gives us the opportunity to work with chefs to showcase how versatile mangoes are.'
