A major new campaign to promote the branded apple Kanzi has begun in Germany with a series of promotional events and activities due to run until the end of April 2016.
The German activities, which include special tastings and a competition for consumers, are backed by two producer organisations, Obst vom Bodensee and Elbe-Obst, together with the brand’s Belgium-based licence manager GKE.
Consumers entering the competition can win a number of Kanzi-branded items, including headphones, car-window blinds and mobile-phone charger packs.
According to the producers involved, the decision to return with a major marketing project this season was based on good results achieved in 2014/15.
“Last year’s campaign convinced both us and our trade customers, so we couldn’t really help but offer the same again,” said Björn Wieneke, sales manager at Elbe-Obst.
