The Italian fresh produce industry has taken its new marketing campaign to Madrid for this year’s edition of the industry trade fair Fruit Attraction.
With the backing of marketing and research agency CSO and under a new logo featuring the tagline Italy, the Beauty of Quality, several major exporters and service providers including Alegra, Apofruit, Graziani Pakaging, Naturitalia, Granfrutta Zani, Teco and Unitec are flying the flag for Italy as it bids to continue recent strong growth in the Spanish market.
"I have been pleasantly surprised by this show," commented CSO director Luciano Trentini. "We have been extremely busy on the opening day, with a packed schedule of meetings with Spanish and French operators and institutions at CSO’s Italy stand to discuss prospects for the sector in Europe."
Federico Milanesi, the agency’s head of international development, added: "I think the way CSO’s member companies are presenting themselves under the Italian umbrella logo is very efficient and has a major impact. This is an important opportunity for those that want to expand internationally and best convey the concept of Italian quallity."
