Bananas are the top choice of Irish parents when it comes to picking baby and toddler snack foods, according to the results of the annual National Parenting Product Awards.
For the third time in the competition’s four year history, Freddy Fyffes bananas were the chosen as the winner in the Food and Feeding section, based on research conducted by Millward Brown amongst parents and experts in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
Fyffes marketing manager Emma Hunt-Duffy accepted the award at a prize-giving ceremony held at the Westbury Hotel, Dublin.
“We are delighted that parents are continuing to recognise bananas for their natural and nourishing qualities, particularly at a time when society is becoming increasingly conscious of the food our children eat,' she said.
