Imagination Farms Toys for Tots

This holiday season, Imagination Farms and Disney Garden co-packers Chelan Fresh, L&M, First Fruits and Delano Farms will sponsor a Toys for Tots promotion that will raise funds to purchase gifts for needy children in the US, according to a company press release.

The promotion, which runs from 15 November to 31 December, is open to any retailer in the US. For every case of Disney Garden apples, US$0.25 will be donated to the Toys for Tots organization, Imagination Farms said.

Funds can be allocated by market area to see that dollars raised by a supporting retailer can go back to local communities. Promotional materials including price cards and posters along with ad slicks are also available upon request. In addition retailers with Toys for Tots programs in their communities may request drop bins to be used at their store for toy collection.

“It is important for us to give back to communities,” commented Matthew Caito, CEO of Imagination Farms in a statement. “Partnering with the Marines Toys for Tots organization as a corporate sponsor is a great fit and will allow us to continue to help children by making holidays a little happier for less fortunate children during difficult economic times.”

Since 1947 the US Marine Toys for Tots program has been delivering on its mission to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as holiday gifts to needy children in communities throughout the US.

Through generous donations, last year the Toys for Tots program collected over 16.1m toys, books and other gifts to fulfil the Christmas holiday dreams of 7.6m less fortunate children.

“The Marine Corps is a strong proponent of physical fitness and quality eating habits, including fruits and vegetables,” said retired Marine Corps Major Bill Grein, vice-president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

“Our foundation appreciates Imagination Farms’ commitment to children through both their mission of increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables, as well as their commitment to raising funds to support the purchase of gifts for our nation's neediest children.”

Mr Caito added that Imagination Farms believes the opportunity to work directly with retailers on a consumer promotion that allows the group to promote apples, but also give back to their community creates lasting opportunities far beyond the brand.
