The promotional poster campaign Frische ist Leben (Fresh is Life) is set to return to more than 1,000 cities in Germany from 9 May to 19 June.
Targeting supermarket shoppers with a healthy eating message to promote the benefits of consuming fresh fruit and vegetables, around 4,000 billboards will be placed in retail car parks belonging to companies including Bünting, Coop, Edeka, Globus, Kaufland, Penny, Real, Rewe and Wasgau.
The campaign will also be featured in advertisements inside the supermarkets' in-house magazines, Fruchthandel reports, potentially reaching millions of consumers.
Launched in 2012, Frische ist Leben is a three-year undertaking supported by the German, Dutch and Belgian fresh fruit and vegetable sectors.
The project is one of a number of promotional campaigns likely to benefit from the European Parliament's decision to approve a significant increase in the size of the EU's promotional budget for agriculture.
