Dutch horticultural company Hagé International has launched a new unit focusing on exotic produce and ready to eat fruit at the Fruit Logistica trade show in Berlin this week.
The new unit will trade under the brand Solentes and operate under the name Hagé and Exotics Specialities, and was introduced by Philip Smits, CEO of Hagé International’s parent company The Greenery on Wednesday at the company’s Fruit Logistica stand.
Mr Smits said the unit would focus on growing the Dutch and European markets for exotics fruit and vegetable varieties, as well as ready to eat fruit.
The unit’s range will include mini-mangoes, Buddha’s hand citron, rose apples, sapodillas and edible flowers.
Hagé and Exotics Specialities’ range will expand over the next few months, with a focus on high quality supply, the company said.
