Fresh fruit and vegetable processor-distributor Freshway Foods has revealed that the company introduced several new super food salads at United Fresh 2013 in San Diego.
Featured at the show were new salads containing Brussels sprouts, kale, mango, and healthy ancient grains such as rainbow quinoa.
Samples of the company’s new Roasted Cherry Brussels Sprout Slaw were 'very popular' with show attendees, the group explained.
“For consumers looking for healthier options, these salads offer the perfect combination of nutrition and great taste,” said Kirk Norman, director of business development for Freshway Foods.
“We are committed to offering our customers products that taste good and are good for you,” said Frank Gilardi, CEO of Freshway Foods. “Eating more fresh produce is a great way to improve your health, and these new super food salads will appeal to a wide range of consumers.”
