Chiquita's ready-to-eat convenience and salad subsidiary Fresh Express has announced the launch of eight new products, including a line of Functional Health Salad Kits, as well as expanded offerings to existing lines.
According to the group, the new products will be available on shelves in the US starting from Wednesday 18 March.
The Functional Health Salad Kits inlcude three varieties, firstly the Heart Health Kit which includes ingredients specifically chosen for their health benefits, such as spinach, kale, beet tops, shredded broccoli, shredded carrots, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds,with basil balsamic vinaigrette.
The second variety is the Antioxidant Kit,blending spinach, baby kale, red cabbage, shredded carrots, feta cheese, sunflower kernels, and dried blueberries with a pomegranate blueberry vinaigrette.
Thirdly, the Digestive Health Kitcontains 3 grams of fibre per serving, and features a flavourful mix of spinach, baby kale, pak choi, beet tops, shredded carrots, dates, sliced almonds, and flaxseed with a sesame ginger dressing.
The roll-out also includes a Caesar Kit with Greek yogurt dressing, and an expansion to the company's Juicing Greens line,
