Annual promotional event 'Fraîch'attitude Week' took place last week in France, the aim this year being to educate and inspire children about fruit and vegetables.
One of hundreds of different events saw a total of 14 classes of primary school children from the southern French region of Midi-Pyrénées, be that around 300 kids, participating in a project called 'Introducing Fruits and Vegetables' on 7 June.
The pupils followed the route from the garden to the plate to discover what the jobs in the sector entailed and to reveal the origin of various products.
They were also given culinary workshops, as well as training on cutting fruit and vegetables and planting them, according to L'Hôtellerie Restauration magazine.
