Chilean food and beverages are being promoted in Russia and Turkey this month under a brand new campaign developed by the country’s foreign export agency, ProChile.
Dubbed ‘Flavours of Chile’ (Sabores de Chile), the initiative is designed to seek opportunities for Chilean products on international markets which are strategically located between Europe and Asia.
Activities got underway on Thursday 23 June when 150 business meetings took place in Moscow in an effort to open up new opportunities for Chilean products on the Russian market.
Promotions will continue in both Moscow and Istanbul until 28 June, according to a press release from ProChile.
Through the campaign, the organisation aims to position Chile as a reliable provider of food and beverages.
Chile is the leading supplier of fresh table grapes to Turkey, representing 56.33 per cent of arrivals, as well as a key provider of apples (61.17 per cent), according to ProChile.
The agency said Chile also exports considerable volume of kiwifruit, nuts, bottled wines, rice and butter to Turkey.
