Flandria

Belgian quality label Flandria restarted its wok demonstrations throughout the country at the beginning of May.

Each Friday and Saturday, a wok stand is set up close to the produce section of large Belgian retail outlets, and stir-fries created using Flandria vegetables.

The emphasis is on seasonal produce and the aim is to demonstrate the high quality of vegetables under the Flandria label.

Tony De Bock, divisional manager for fresh and frozen produce at retailer Colruyt, commented: “The wok demonstrations are an excellent way to help our customers discover Flandria produce and Flandria quality.”

According to Flandria, peppers and aubergines will be on the menu during the summer, followed by leeks and cauliflower in the autumn, as well as lamb’s lettuce and witloof chicory.
