The Fresh Herb Company, the largest producer of fresh herbs for the UK retail market, is to run its first public relations (PR) campaign.
The consumer campaign is running from April to September to promote sales of fresh living herbs.
Thecompany has enlisted chefs and food writers including Atul Kochhar, Toby Tobin and Rosemary Shrager to provide their five favourite uses forfresh herbs. These will be sent, under the campaign name ‘5 Ways’, to food and women’s consumer magazines to try to inspire more consumers to buy and cook with living herbs.
A website to accompany the campaign, www.freshlivingherbs.co.uk, will go live by the end of May.
TheUK retail fresh herbs market is worth £96.4m (€120m) and the Fresh Herb Companybelieves living herbs is the category with potential for the biggest growth. The 5 Ways campaign aims to highlight that fresh living herbs are a convenient and healthy way to liven up meals, offering value for money and low wastage.
