Spanish Fashion watermelon growers and marketers are holding a series of tasting events in German supermarkets and Spanish wholesale markets over June and July to further promote awareness of the variety.
Starting from 4 June and running through to 18 July, the Asociación Grupo Fashion (AGF), which owns the ‘Sandia Fashion’ brand, will be staging product tastings in branches of grocery retailer chains Rewe and Tegut across Germany.
In Spain, tastings will also take place at outlets of cash-and-carry operator Makro, as well as at five major Spanish wholesale markets, comprising Mercamadrid, Mercavalencia, Mercazaragoza, Mercabilbao and Mercaxativa.
In addition, the Sandia Fashion promotion will be present at 15 public fruit and vegetable markets across Madrid during the course of the campaign.
The AGF is formed of 23 Spanish Fashion watermelon growers and marketers, including Agroponiente, Ejidomar, Agrupaejido, Surinver and SAT Costa de Níjar.
