One of the Netherlands' leading vegetable producers, Prominent, will join leading Dutch fresh produce trading company The Greenery in handing out products to consumers in a number of German cities next week.
Representing growers cooperative Coforta, the Dutch horticultural cooperative formerly known as The Greenery UA, Prominent and The Greenery are aiming to restore faith in fresh vegetables among german consumers following the recent scare over E coli.
From 24-26 June, the companies will take a roadshow around Germany under the 'Sicher geniessen' (Safe enjoyment) banner, highlighting the quality of Dutch vegetable production.
A truck carrying a range of different Dutch vegetable products, including cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers, will head to Oberhausen and Dusseldorf on Friday 24 June, before heading to Bremen and Hanover the following day.
The roadshow will end up in Leipzig on Sunday 26 June, where it will feature as part of the annual food and drink event Konsum Festival.
