Fresh produce company Dole is planning to give away a stack of gold coins as part of a month-long promotional competition in Germany and Austria due to begin mid-September.
Consumers who purchase Dole-branded fruit during the course of the four-week 'Im Goldrausch' campaign will receive a scratchcard, giving them the chance to win a 14ct gold coin minted especially for the competition.
With the company bidding to imcrease its presence in the German and Austrian markets, the campaign will be heavily promoted through billboard advertising, internet marketing, flyers and other avertisements.
'High-quality products combined with attractive profits will once again position Dole as a premium brand in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector and a committed trade partner,' said a spokesperson for the company.
