CVVP, the protected vegetables varieties club is to launch a new orange label for the 2016/17 citrus season. The M7, an extra-early mutation of the Navelina 7.5 characterised by its round shape and extensive harvesting period of four months.
The group will once again be exhibiting at next week’s Fruit Attraction in Madrid where it will showcase the new orange alongside its premium Nadorcott label, Clemcott.
“Our aim is to demonstrate to the industry the work that goes into producing and certifying club varieties such as Clemcott,” CVVP said in a press release. “Every year we continue with our fight against their illegal cultivation and agricultural piracy and call on producers to respect the intellectual property rights of those that have created them.”
CVVP is the exclusive license holder of the Clemcott label, which is available between January and April. It is reserved for the best of the Nadorcott selection, hand picked for its optimum levels of sugar and acidity, high juice content, intense orange colour and ease of peeling.
