Creno, the leading wholesaler in France, along with its members, has revealed plans for new promotional activities for the “back to school” period, including a money-back offer on the company’s Boit’à Fruits fruit boxes.
These reusable boxes, which have compartments for Creno’s Merci Maman-branded, smaller sized fruits, are designed to encourage children to eschew unhealthy snacks in favour of fruits.
“If you give a large apple to a six year-old child, he will not finish it,” says marketing manager Denys Anthonioz. “So the concept of Merci Maman is to meet the needs of young consumers, both in size and taste.”
The box, he explains, is an educational tool for the children and the parents. “The children can decorate their boxes and ask their parents to fill them with fruit,” he says. “It is a way of teaching children not to always opt for salty snacks and chocolate bars.”
According to the offer, parents who purchase €3 worth of Merci Maman fruits and a fruit box will be able to get their money back on the box.
