Repsol

Spanish citrus Protected Geographical Indicator (PGI) organisation Cítricos Valencianos has agreed a national distribution deal with Spanish petrol station operator Repsol to sell and promote branded fruit across its store network.

Citrus produced under the auspices of the PGI group will be sold in all of Repsol’s forecourt stores across Spain during this year in four kilo cartons.

In a statement, Cítricos Valencianos’ president, José Barres Gabarda, said that although it was the first time that the organisation had carried out such a promotion, he was confident it would achieve a good level of sales.

“This is a good opportunity to take advantage of the distribution network that a company like Repsol has and through its shops at its service stations to be able to reach every corner of Spain,” he said.
