Citrosol sustainability report

“Citrosostenibilidad SDG 2023 Report not only underlines Citrosol’s comprehensive approach to sustainability, but also highlights its involvement in research, the reduction of environmental impacts and the creation of value for both society and the environment,” the company said.

“Its development has been possible thanks to the active collaboration of the entire Citrosol team in close cooperation with a specialised consultancy. This joint effort, with the involvement of all departments, has allowed the company to present a detailed and precise analysis of its initiatives and actions carried out in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the United Nations Global Compact.”

The report reaffirms Citrosol’s commitment to sustainability through third-party certification under the international schemes ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) and the GHG Protocol (carbon footprint) and confirms the company’s alignment with the SDGs.

“These certifications guarantee that our processes meet the most demanding standards in terms of quality and sustainability. In addition, certification under the GHG Protocol reinforces our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and allows for rigorous measurement of greenhouse gas emissions, ensuring that the company complies with best practices for reducing its climate impact,” Citrosol said.

The company highlighted the quality of the verified data that has been collected to measure the impact of its actions. “A robust methodological basis has been established that provides reliable data on the effects of our operations, allowing us to accurately assess our progress in sustainability and adapt our continuous improvement strategies,” it said.

“This rigour in the collection of information ensures that the company’s decisions are made on a solid database and allows for monitoring progress and planning continuous improvement strategies based on solid data.”

The report also addresses other key areas, such as reducing food waste, responsible water and energy management, and promoting gender equality in the workplace. “Through these initiatives, Citrosol is consolidating its position as a benchmark in the sector on its path towards a fairer and more sustainable future,” the company concluded, adding that the report is available on its website: www.citrosol.com.
