Chiquita sticker design

Chiquita has launched a new competition encouraging consumers to design and submit their own artwork for use on the group's banana stickers.

According to the fresh produce giant, people visiting www.eatachiquita.com have the opportunity to not only put their own spin on the famous blue sticker, but also see their design actually appear on bananas.

Eighteen winning participants will see their design featured on millions of Chiquita bananas across the US, while also being handed prizes such as a t-shirt and merchandise from Chiquita's Shop A Peel Zazzle store, customised with their own sticker design.

'We created the Chiquita Banana Sticker Design Contest to encourage consumers to interact with the Chiquita brand and make the brand their own,' said Judy Chen, corporate marketing group leaderat Chiquita. 'It's a fun way for consumers to engage with the brand through self-expression.'

Entries must be submitted by 18 July, with the best 50 announced on 23 August. The site will then be open to public voting, with the winners announced on 13 September.
