Supermarkets in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Barcelona are apparently to promote Chilean Hass avocados between October and December this year as part of the European marketing campaign organised the Chilean Hass Avocado Committee (Comité de Palta).
Using the slogan, Hass Avocados, Fruit of the Heart, 100 per cent Pure Health, the initiative will seek to raise awareness among Spanish consumers of the health benefits of Hass avocados, according to a report on SimFRUIT.
The message will also be marketed via print and digital press and the Committee has designed a comic which explains how to choose, prepare, store and use avocados.
Recipes have also been developed to promote the versatility of the fruit in various meals and snacks, the report said.
