Pest control company Certis Europe has announced that it has entered into a partnership with US biological plant protection specialist Trécé to distribute its Cidetrak range of products in the 27 EU countries.
Certis Europe will act as the exclusive Trécé partner for the development, registration and distribution of the products except in Spain where, for some products, historical commitments will continue.
The development and distribution agreement between the companies was signed in January 2011 by Bill Lingren, president and chief executive of Trécé and Bob Skillicorn, chief executive of Certis Europe BV.
In a statement, Certis said that Trécé had developed the Cidetrak range for mating disruption uses in plant protection, although these products do not yet have regulatory approval for sale in Europe.
Certis Europe is experienced in securing regulatory approval for similar products and their subsequent distribution and sale in Europe, and is seeking to develop a market for Trécé’s products within the topfruit, stonefruit and table grape sectors.
