California Giant Berry Farms will help welcome spring in the US with a new television commercial featuring the group's president Bill Moncovich, with the dual purpose of highlighting the beginning of the peak California strawberry season.
The 30 second-long commercial is scheduled to run several times on 19 March across 26 US markets, leading into the weather report during the morning news, with the group also delivering fresh California Giant strawberries to the weathermen to include in their broadcasts.
'We are excited about running the campaign this spring since most of the country has had several months of severe adverse weather conditions,' said Mr Moncovich. 'Many of our retail customers and consumers are really looking forward to the end of this winter season, and we hope our campaign will signal a change for the better.'
The Commercial features Mr Moncovich in one of the group's strawberry fields, encouraging viewers to visit the company website and provide feedback on how they will enjoy California Giant berries this season.
