French potato producer Buché2 has changed its name to Campéol as part of the company’s radical transformation process, which has been ongoing for over five years. The company’s goal is to develop the business on an international scale by 2012.
In the last five years, the company has grown rapidly. In 2002, it was packing 12,000 tonnes of potatoes and using a mere three types of packaging. Now, the company handles 70,000 tonnes, using dozens of packaging varieties, and exports to 26 countries.
According to Campéol, four concepts permeate the company’s supply chain – quality, technology, know-how and creativity – enabling the firm to respond to customers’ demands, offer innovative solutions and deliver quality products and services on-time.
