For the third year in a row, Britanny-based vegetable marketer Prince de Bretagne is organising a major national campaign to celebrate the arrival of its early vegetables, including artichokes, broccoli, cabbages, lettuces and early potatoes, not least the new Blondeline variety.
Between 25 May and 30 June, Prince de Bretagne will reportedly be promoting the seasonality, freshness and crunchiness of its produce.
The company has created 3,500 point-of-sale advertising kits for the occasion, including signage, recipe leaflets and information about a competition to win a summer holiday.
Prince de Bretagne will also be offering awards for the 50 best in-store displays arranged by the retail outlets.
According to marketing director Emmanuel Descloux, the idea behind the celebration is to bring back the notion of seasonality, despite the fact that many of the products are seen on the shelves all year round.
'This operation aims to remind consumers that this is the ideal period for eating good, beautiful and healthy vegetables, all produced on an extraordinary territory,' he said.
