French company Blue Whale has launched a new campaign to market sweet kiwifruit to young consumers in its domestic market.
Since the start of the year, the group has been supplying large trays of five kiwifruit, harvested at full ripeness and offering a guaranteed level of sweetness.
With younger French consumers apparently often put off by a fruit's acidic taste, the aim has been to offer something altogether more sweet.
'Well protected in their tray, these kiwifruit can be stored easily and be consumed throughout the week,' said a spokesperson for the company.
Blue Whale is also giving away specially designed magnets inside each tray for children to collect.
Six different magnets are available, depicting a kiwifruit character playing a number of sports including football, tennis, rugby and rollerskating.
