Missouri-based technology and engineering company Emerson recently underlined its expansion and leadership in the field of cold chain management with the acquisitions of PakSense and Locus Traxx, investments which saw it form its new Cargo Solutions business unit.
As a result, GO Real-Time Trackers formerly marketed by Locus Traxx and GO Loggers formerly marketed by PakSense are now included in a full suite of Emerson-branded solutions that monitor and protect perishable goods in the supply chain.
The newly branded Emerson Cargo product line will feature on the group’s stand 8F03E at Fruit Attraction, which takes place in Madrid on 18-20 October.
By making these and other investments in cargo solutions, Emerson can provide consistent and safe control of food and other temperature-sensitive goods.
“With these acquisitions, we are expanding our leadership in helping growers, food processors, shippers, retailers and others to improve temperature controls, product quality and cargo monitoring throughout the supply chain,” says Mark Dunson, Emerson’s group vice-president of Electronics & Solutions.
“These expanded capabilities also help customers meet regulatory requirements for food quality and safety and reduce global waste,” he adds.
