The ANPP, the French association for apples and pears, has launched a new promotional campaign in France with a strong emphasis on education, as well as the crunch offered by French apples.
The campaign, which began in October, involves educational activities in-store explaining the eco-friendly production methods used by French apple growers, in addition to competitions on the lapomme.org website and on Facebook.
Around 450 days of educational activities are scheduled to take place in approximately 5,000 retail outlets across France.
Meanwhile, the ANPP wants French apples to boost their presence in schools, as timetable reform in France leads to increased leisure time for pupils.
The ANPP has launched the 'Abracada Pomme' case full of games and educational activities, while a Facebook game called SmartPom is also aimed at younger consumers.
