Company will donate 1,500kg of Bouquet mandarins to participants of Sunday’s 10KFEM race in Valencia
Anecoop is to sponsor the 10KFEM Valencia for the second consecutive year. It will donate a total of 1,500kg of Bouquet mandarins, which will be included in gift bags given to the race’s 3,000 participants.
10KFEM is the first all-female 10km race in Spain. It takes place on 2 March and its route takes in some of the most iconic sites in the city of Valencia.
“The Bouquet mandarin, in full season, is a fruit with great properties and an interesting nutritional contribution for sports practice. With its high water content it is perfect for maintaining hydration, positively impacting both performance and recovery. It constitutes a source of fibre and vitamin C, helping to reduce fatigue and fatigue, as well as having antioxidant properties,” Anecoop said.
The move is part of Anecoop’s wider efforts to promote physical activity and healthy nutrition. In 2023/24, the company donated more than 50,000kg of fruit and vegetables to sporting and healthy living events, 25 per cent more than in the previous year.
Anecoop said its collaboration with 10KFEM is tailored to its Corporate Social Responsibility plan, which not only promotes healthy living habits through fruit and vegetable consumption but also gender equality.
