Argentinean fruit giant Moño Azul has become the 12th lemon supplier to join the country’s All Lemon Tested & Certified for Export scheme, which aims to export Argentinean lemons under a strict quality standard.
According to a press release from the group, a 13th member will also be announced this year, as many more lemon suppliers request information about the necessary requirements to join the organisation.
“Moño Azul, an other very important company from Argentina, is the new and recently incorporation to All Lemon Tested & Certified for Export, so now we are 12, and wehope to add other ones this year,” explained José Carlos Bertolotti, commercial manager of Citromax – one of the members.
“All this news and advances means that we are on the right way, that clients and the companies involve in this market trust in All Lemon,” Mr Bertolotti added.
All Lemon was established in response to increasingly tough demands from the global market for high quality fruit.
The fruit of the twelve leading local players working under the scheme is exported to major markets in the European Union, Russia and Asia.
Current members include: Argenti Lemon, Citrusvil, Citromax, Expofrut, F.G.F. Trapani, Frutucumán, Ledesma, La Moraleja, Latin Lemon, Moño Azul, Pablo Padilla, San Miguel and Univeg Expofrut Argentina.
