The 11 Argentinean lemon exporters operating under the All Lemon Tested & Certified For Export quality standard have celebrated their first year in operation, according to a press release from the association.
At a ceremony held during Fruit Logistica 2011, the group said certified fruit last year exceeded all the expectations in terms of quality control and achieved a superior position vis-à-vis the quality standards expected by customers in response to increasingly high demands.
“To carry our this committed and thorough endeavour, All Lemon consolidated a team of independent, highly-trained technical experts who performed strict audit reviews on the member companies according to the specially designed Quality Manual that sets the approved parameters of the variables that should be monitored and controlled,” explained Citrusvil director Pablo Lucci.
In 2011, the All Lemon group aims to continue working to reinforce its position as a point of reference for quality Argentinean lemon supplies to the European Union, Russia and Asia.
“To strengthen customers’ trust in the seal, the quality control processes will be certified through internationally recognised quality standards,” said Carlos Bertolotti, commercial manager at Citromax. “In addition, further IT investments will be made to computerise the quality control processes.”
All Lemon comprises 11 member companies at present, including: Argenti Lemon, Citrusvil, Citromax, Expofrut, FGF Trapani, Frutucumán, Ledesma, La Moraleja, Latin Lemon, Pablo Padilla, San Miguel and Univeg Expofrut Argentina.
