New campaign invites consumers to make avocados the star of their celebration

Avocados From Mexico (AFM) wants to put guacamole at the centre of every table this Cinco de Mayo, with its new Guac Makes the Fiesta campaign bringing people together around a bowl of fresh guacamole.

Research shows that 43 per cent of those who celebrate Cinco de Mayo associating the day with food, followed by friends and family, and the celebration is the second most popular day for avocado consumption in the US.

“Cinco de Mayo is a time to celebrate the rich culture and flavours of Mexico, and nothing embodies that better than a big bowl of guacamole,” said Alvaro Luque, CEO of AFM. “This year, we’re reminding consumers that avocados turn an ordinary gathering into a real fiesta, bringing vibrant flavour and fun to every table. The brand’s Guac Makes the Fiesta campaign aims to drive the growing demand for the fruit on Cinco with omnichannel activation that includes digital and in-store activities and recipe ideas.
