The fruit trade plays an increasingly important role in global economic development.
During this year’s Double Eleven Shopping Festival, Shanghai Pengsheng Industrial took the lead in this space by collaborating with well-known blogger JiaoJie to launch the first-ever cross-border fruit traceability livestream within China’s fruit import sector.
The livestream transported viewers to the mysterious lands of Peru, not only setting a new benchmark in the industry but also serving as a heartfelt tribute to the friendly ties and economic cooperation between China and Peru.
The live stream started its extraordinary journey of blueberry traceability at the Zhi Guan Blueberry large-scale desert cultivation base.
The desert region provides significant temperature differences and well-drained soil, rich in minerals. This allows the blueberries to accumulate more sugar and nutrients, resulting in superior quality.
The second stop of the livestream visited the Camposol packaging plant and cultivation base.
As a South American fresh produce giant, Camposol successfully exports various fruits such as avocados, cherries, grapes, mangoes, and oranges to China, in addition to blueberries.
Pengsheng and Camposol have had a long-standing partnership; they co-hosted the launch ceremony for the new Peruvian blueberry season in August.
As the upcoming cherry season approaches, both parties will continue to work together to bring larger, sweeter, and crunchier cherries to the Chinese market, further cultivating the Chinese market.
With the assistance of multilateral cooperation mechanisms like APEC, Sino-Peruvian relations are steadily advancing.
On 14 November, President Xi Jinping and Peruvian President Dina Boluarte attended the opening ceremony of the Chancay Port. Chancay Port significantly shortens the voyage between South America and Asia from 45 days to 23 days, paving a broader path for Sino-Peruvian economic and trade cooperation.
Pengsheng’s Peruvian blueberry traceability livestream rides on the momentum of Sino-Peruvian cooperation, with Chancay Port as its wings. In the future, there will be continuous breakthroughs in the quality, scale, and innovation of fruit trade between the two countries, bringing more Peruvian fruits to households via the ship of Sino-Peruvian friendship.
