A promotional campaign in Thailand for French apples is set to return in December, following multiple activities over the past year
Interfel, the association for fresh fruit and vegetables from France, has been actively promoting French apples in Thailand this past year through various kinds of promotional activities including a press event, in-store samplings and roadshows.
And a new campaign is set to begin this winter in major cities in Thailand, which is regarded as a key market for French exporters.
According to Interfel’s international director Daniel Soares, the event will kick off on 14 December with a press event to launch the campaign.
The main activities are set to last until March 2025, he said, including 12 roadshows and 355 sampling sessions, organised again with the country’s top retailers, including Big C, Makro, Lotus and Tops, and a continued focus major cities like Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
“Sampling, push selling and tasting took place to highlight and promote the diversity and quality of French apples to local consumers,” Interfel said. “Thailand is a key market for fresh fruits and vegetables, and Interfel has been active in this country for decades.”
This is the second year of the campaign, which forms part of a programme co-financed by the EU to promote French fruits and vegetables across Asia.
