IG International celebrates with ceremonial opening of the first container of fresh grapefruit and lemons
IG International, one of India’s leading fresh produce importers, has announced it has received the first shipment of premium citrus fruits from Egypt, officially marking the beginning of the new citrus season.
The milestone was celebrated with the ceremonial opening of the first container of fresh grapefruit and lemons at IG International’s facility.
The event was attended by the consul-general of Egypt in Mumbai, Naglaa El Zawahry; vice consul of Egypt in Mumbai, Dina Albahey; GC Arora, chairman of IG International; and Tarun Arora, director of IG International, reflecting the strong collaboration between the countries.
Speaking at the event, Tarun Arora expressed his excitement about the arrival.
“Egyptian citrus has always been synonymous with quality and flavour,” he said.”This marks the start of a fruitful season, and we are delighted to continue offering our customers in India the finest produce from around the world.”
El Zawahry highlighted the robust trade relationship between the two nations, emphasising the importance of such partnerships in promoting agricultural exports and strengthening bilateral ties.
The incoming Egyptian citrus makes up part of IG International’s mission to bring the best of global produce to Indian consumers.
