With a background in international marketing, she will oversee the federation’s internationalisation agenda
The Spanish Federation of Wooden Packaging and its Components (Fedemco) has appointed Raquel Aguado Muñoz as its new director in its latest move to boost its internationalisation strategy.
As an expert in international marketing and strategy, market development and relations with the European Union, Aguado’s role will be to reach out to all the companies that make up Europe’s wooden packaging and promote the creation of a powerful European cluster that places the sector on the Brussels agenda.
She has worked in international trade and marketing for more than 25 years, in both the private and public sectors, including roles as director of the Foreign Network Coordination Area at the Valencian Export Institute (IVEX), and, more recently, as head of the International Specialisation Service of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness.
Aguado will make her industry debut at next month’s Fruit Attraction, where Fedemco will showcase Ecowoox, its new certification label developed in response to new EU regulations on packaging and packaging waste which allows users to guarantee the total recyclability of their packaging, along with its eco-design and energy recovery.
