PMA Australia-New Zealand (PMA A-NZ) has announced the finalists for the 2021 Tech Innovation Award, proudly sponsored by UPL.
Now in its second year, the award attracted a “remarkable variety of nominations from across the supply chain,” according to PMA A-NZ.
The 2021 Tech Innovation Award finalists, in no particular order, are:
- CHEP with the EVO Crate
- HTM Complete with Farm in One
- Rivulis Irrigation with Rivulis Innovation
- The Yield with Sensing+
- Montague Fresh with its automated cool store facility
Each entry was assessed on how the technological and innovative initiatives tackled issues in the fresh produce industry, along with their success in addressing these challenges.
“We had a record number of entries for this year’s award, showcasing technologies and innovations that span the whole fresh produce supply chain. Given the challenging circumstances that we were all working under last year it’s great to see so many businesses have continued to invest in new technology and innovation” said PMA A-NZ chief executive Darren Keating.
The five finalists will showcase their campaigns on the trade show floor at Hort Connections in Brisbane on Tuesday 8 June at 12.50pm.
The winner of the 2021 Tech Innovation Award will be announced at the Hort Connections Gala Dinner the following evening (9 June).
