New Zealand-headquartered fresh produce company T&G Global has become a silver level supporter of the Fresh Produce Safety Centre Australia and New Zealand (FPSC).
“T&G Global places huge emphasis on food safety and is passionate about freshness. Our company mission is to consistently deliver the highest quality fresh produce to the world and we are proud of our success in this area,” Alastair Hulbert, chief executive of T&G Global, said in a company statement.
“We have extensive food safety processes and protocols in place being a global grower and supplier but having further insights through the Fresh Produce Safety Centre will enable us to remain abreast of risks and opportunities in this area.”
FPSC welcomed the support of T&G Global, New Zealand’s leading grower-packer-exporter, which had previously hostedFPSC'sFood Safety Issues Forum at its offices inWhakatu in 2016.
“Organisations such as T&G Global that actively support [FPSC] are adding to positive food safety outcomes for the whole industry throughout Australia and New Zealand,” added Michael Worthington, chair of FPSC.
FPSC was established by PMA Australia-New Zealand alongside the University of Sydney as an industry-led, not-for-profit to promote and improve fresh produce safety.
