Chris Claridge steps down after seven years at the head of peak body for New Zealand potatoes
Stuart Wright, the board chair of Potatoes New Zealand, has announced the resignation of the organisation’s chief executive, Chris Claridge.
Claridge has been in the role for seven years and Wright said he had significantly changed the way the organisation operates.
“In this time, he has brought a number of operational and technical services inhouse and there has been a significant increase of levy money dedicated to research and development,” said Wright.
“The chair and board appreciate the achievements of the organisation during Claridge’s tenure and wish him well for his next endeavours.”
Claridge has not announced his future plans, but indicated he is excited at the opportunities in front of him. He will stay on as chief executive until the end of April.
