Australia retailer Coles has launched its ‘Steps to Saving’ loyalty scheme, rewarding customers who achieve step targets using activity trackers like Fitbit.
For every 100,000 steps tracked, customers will receive 10 per cent off fresh fruit and vegetables purchases from 14 September until 30 November.
Customers will need to be members of Coles’ Flybuys loyalty scheme and link their activity trackers to their Flybuys account.
Flybuys GM Adam Story said the promotion was a way of encouraging members to make healthy choices this spring.
'Flybuys is always trying to innovate and find new ways to offer relevant rewards to our members, bringing together some of our health partners such as Coles, Fitbit, Medibank, Garmin and Goodlife Health Clubs,” Story said.
Medibank members will receive bonus points when they hit step targets, and the highest ‘stepper’ will win a trip for four to Hawaii.
