German discounter Aldi has announced it plans to open four stores in Perth in the coming months and a further 20 stores in Western Australia by the end of 2016.
Aldi Australia stores will open in Mirrabooka Square, Kwinana, Belmont and Lakeside Joondalup on 8 June.
'This is an exciting time for the Aldi business and for West Australian shoppers,' managing director Damien Scheidel said in a statement. 'The first stores form part of Aldi's long-term expansion plans, which will see up to 70 stores developed around Western Australia and 1,200 permanent jobs at Aldi.'
Aldi Australia opened its first stores in South Australia this year, with plans to further expand in the state in coming years.
