Deal to purchase Kansas-based warehouse and transport operator is Lineage’s largest since it went public in July 2024
Temperature-controlled warehouse and logistics operator Lineage has acquired the assets of Kansas City, Kansas-based ColdPoint Logistics.
According to the company, the purchase expands its cold-chain activities around the city, and provides it with a site that has direct access from the region to major US ports via on-site rail connections.
“The ColdPoint team is excited about joining with Lineage,” said its CEO Aaron Burks. “The combination of our companies creates an incredible opportunity for our team to grow within a larger organisation and provides our customers with access to Lineage’s vast network.”
He added: “ColdPoint’s unique intermodal heavyweight model for export to the Pacific Rim through the ports of LA/Long Beach will also be a valuable addition to Lineage’s network and customers.”
The ColdPoint facility is 621,000 square feet and contains 62,000 pallet positions. As such, it represents Lineage’s largest deal since it went public in July 2024.
