NZ Gold Kiwifruit

Zespri has revealed that an agreement with Turners & Growers (T&G), that sees it sell a limited volume of the latter's Enza Gold variety kiwifruit in selected markets in Asia, is progressing well.

The one-year-long agreement allows T&G to sell 60,000 trays of Enza Gold into South Korea and 30,000 trays into China and Hong Kong.

T&G chief executive officer Geoff Hipkins told local media that the cooperation from Zespri had been 'fantastic', and that the group had even been allowed to sell some Enza Gold in the US and parts of Europe.

'We can work together,' Hipkins told Radio New Zealand, while Zespri CEO Lain Jager noted that he was looking forward to the 'constructive relationship continuing'.
