Landec Corporation has reported on its results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013, with revenues up 30 per cent to US$107.1m and net income increasing from US$2.8m to US$4.5m.
According to the packaging specialist, the results reflected strong operating results in a number of segments including fresh-cut specialty packaged food subsidiary Apio's value-added business.
For the full year, revenues climbed 39 per cent to US$441.7m, with net income up to US$22.6m from US$12.7m.
'We had a good fourth quarter and an outstanding fiscal year,' said Gary Steele, Landec's chairman and CEO. 'Notably, we achieved this strong growth in both the fourth quarter and fiscal year despite significant weather-related events during the year.'
