Wal-Mart Stores Inc has revealed that Vicente Trius, president and chief executive officer of Walmart Latin America, is leaving the group just five months after taking the position.
No reason has been given for Mr Trius' departure, with the retailer confirming that the move was not part of an organisational restructuring, Reuters reported.
Mr Trius took the position on 6 July this year, moving from his position as CEO of Wal-Mart Asia.
The group said that a successor for Mr Trius would be named as soon as possible, and that Walmart International CEO and president Doug McMillon would assume responsibility for the region until a replacement was found, according to Reuters.
