Waitrose has made a change at the top of its convenience tree, with Jackie Wharton promoted from the position of director of commercial operations to a new role as director of convenience.
The move is the result of current incumbent Diana Hunter's decision to take a new position as chief executive of Bargian Booze, Retail Week reported.
Wharton has been part of the Waitrose set up since 1998.
