UK fresh herb and salads producer Vitacress has joined forces with Camino Real, part of the Dutch fresh herb producing Gipmans Group, to create a new joint venture company called Vitacress Real.
Thisnew company will be based in Venlo in the Netherlands and will focus onbuilding up customers in the Benelux and German markets.
Through its subsidiary VHB, Vitacress commands a leading position in the market for cut and bunched herbs, while Gipmans' subsidiary Especia is a renowned supplier ofliving herbs in pots.
Vitacress Real will offer a full range of fresh herbs: living, bunched and fresh-cut.
Kees van Poortvliet has been named as managing director and Marcel Verdellen as sales director at the new joint venture company.

Vitacress and another major UK supplier, Wight Salads Group, are fully owned subsidiaries of Portugal-based industrial and agricultural conglomerate Grupo RAR.
