Vero Logistics, a Florida-based refrigerated carrier, has announced its new LTL (less-than-truckload) programme for produce and perishable cargo originating in Florida and Georgia and shipping to destinations throughout the US.
The company’s state-of-the-art fleet of 50 trucks and trailers come with GPS tracking on each tractor and trailer, as well as temperature monitoring in each trailer to protect the cold chain.
Vero’s Avi Epstein said, “We realised there was a demand from our customers to provide comprehensive LTL service out of Florida and Georgia to the rest of the country, and we created this programme to meet the demand.”
The carrier has a dedicated customer service department focused on communicating updates, issues, and load details to each of Vero’s customers. All appointment times, PO numbers, and piece counts are double-checked for every load, which helps avoid problems with a shipper or consignee.
“Vero’s partnership with nationwide full-service lease providers has eliminated 99 per cent of downtime associated with equipment failure. In this way the firm is able to concentrate solely on its operations and customer service while still offering customers the advantages of well-maintained equipment with a national provider’s network,” the company said in a press release.
