The fifth annual Végétable Forum, which takes place in Paris on 5 April, is set to focus on the growth of the convenience format in the French retail sector and the opportunities this presents for fruit and vegetable suppliers.
Such stores offer a broad range of products, with a focus on snacking and packaged produce designed for single-person households and smaller families.
They also make the fruit and vegetables section highly visible in-store, with a firm commitment to quality and freshness, offering excellent opportunities for suppliers.
'With these new concepts, fruit and vegetables are permanently inscribed in the heart of neighborhood life in these outlets, which are visited by their clients several times a week,' the Forum's organisers state. 'This is a great opportunity to get closer to consumers and to offer a high quality, very fresh product.'
